Game 1 - Detroit Red Wings verses Nashville. Detroit won the game convincingly 6-3 with the game going 0-1,3-0,3-2.

Game 2 - Colorado Avalanche verses Calgary. Calgary won the game but Colorado won the bet on the +1.5 spread. This game looked grim from the 1st period with Calgary taking 2 points. No score in the 2nd and Colorado scored 1 in the 3rd period as they desperately tried to overcome Calgary.

Game 3 - Los Angeles Kings verses Phoenix. This game was really exciting! The 1st period went 2-1 to Los Angeles, and the 2nd was even more exciting with a high-scoring 3-3 period. Los Angeles was leading 5-4 and it looked in the bag with only seconds remaining when somehow Phoenix managed to sneak 1 point in the final seconds bringing the score to 5-5. Arrhhh!! So close.. The game went to overtime with no score and then went to a shoot out with Los Angeles scoring 1 brining the final score to 6-5 in the favor of Los Angeles.

So, there you have it. 3 winners out of 3 games bringing my personal tally over the last couple of nights to 8/8 for my 1st experience with NHL. Gee, I wish I had got into this a lot sooner…

Yep, that’s me, the clueless Australian… when it comes to NHL. I mean, it doesn’t even snow in Australia, the “sunburnt country” and largest tropical island in the world. So when, I was invited to try out John Morrison’s NHL betting system, my 1st question was what’s the NHL? Ice Hockey? I’ve got 17 more games to play in the final couple of weeks of the NHL season and I’ll be posting these results as they happen to verify the results for everyone’s benefit. Here’s how the games went down. Straight bets, all with +1.5 spreads.

Game 1 - Toronto verses NY Islanders - March 18. Toronto wins 3-1. After a slow start, conceding 1 point in the 1st, no score in the 2nd, and a thrilling display in the 3rd with Toronto smacking 3 in the net to take the game 3-1.

Game 2 - Atlanta verses Philadelphia - March 18. Atlanta lost the game 2-3 but the bet was still won due to the +1.5 spread offered on the bet. The scores went 1-1, 0-1, and 1-1 to finish 2-3. It was close and exciting and thank goodness Atlanta didn’t drop another point on that game.

Game 3 - Washington verses Nashville - March 18. Washington easily wins the game 4-2, after scoring 3 points in the 1st, leaving the scoreboard to show 3-0,0-1,1-1.

Game 4 - Anaheim verses Dallas - March 19. Anaheim dropped a point in the 1st but recovered to score 1 point in both the 2nd and 3rd taking the final score to 2-1 giving Anaheim both the game and the bet.

Game 5 - Minnesota verses San Jose - March 19. This game was thrilling. The score went 0-1,1-1,2-1 making it a 3-3 tie. Overtime was payed with no score, before 2nd overtime saw the game tip San Jose’s way winning the game but still allowing Minnesota to claim the bet on a +1.5 spread.

So there you have it. 5 games. 3 game wins but 5 sports bet wins, so that’s how a clueless Australian won 5 out of 5 games on a sport that he knew nothing about. With only a handful of games left in the season, it may be something you want to get ready for, but the good news is this - The MLB is starting very soon and you’re going to have heaps of opportunities to exploit the winners anomaly which combined with a clever betting strategy, results in upwardly moving bank accounts on probabilities of higher than 97%.
