Sports Betting Champ seems to be on a winning streak again. After a disappointing 3 losses within a short time frame, Sports Betting Champ is finishing July strongly. The next was scoreless but the 5th was a humdinger with both teams playing hard; Toronto taking 2 and Baltimore taking 3 taking the score to 6-3 in Baltimore’s favor. The next 2 innings were scoreless and in the 8th, Baltimore struck again with another 2 runs taking the game to 8-3 which is how it ultimately ended. Nice! The next game was the Detroit Tigers verses the Kansas City Royals with the Tigers being the game’s underdogs… But someone obviously didn’t tell the mighty Tigers that they were not the favorites because I can’t remember the last time I watched a game that finished with a crushing, spectacular and soul-destroying 19-4 end result with the Royals finally put runs on the board in the 8th, probably because the Tigers were too tired from scoring so many runs. That inning, they scored a massive 10 runs so when it was their turn to field, I guess the boys were just a little pooped from running around the diamond. Wow!! The game actually started really quietly with a scoreless 2 innings giving no hint of the slaughter to come. The 3rd inning was the 1st sign of life from Detroit Tigers raking up 5 big runs taking a strong 5-0 lead. The inning was scoreless but then the Tigers struck again with 2 hot runs taking it to 7-0. The 6th and 7th innings were an exact repeat of the 4th & 5th innings going 0-0, 2-0 and bringing the score to 9-0. Then came the 8th inning and if things weren’t bad enough for Kansas City, the Tigers roared an undeniably loud rage of runs blitzing the Royals with 10 huge runs bringing the score to a ridiculous 19 runs which I’m sure was probably embarrassing for both teams. As I said already, out of probably exhaustion and perhaps some pity by the Tigers, the Royals finally scored and raked up 4 runs bring the scoreboard to 19-4 which is how it ended. Here’s how it looked; 0-0, 0-0, 5-0, 0-0, 2-0, 0-0, 2-0, 10-4, 0-0.
The final game for the day was the Arizona Diamondbacks verses Chicago Cubs. This game wasn’t that exciting but still a nice win for the subscribers and for the fans of course. Actually, the 1st 5 innings were scoreless with the 6th finally putting the Diamondbacks on the board with a single. The 7th went scoreless and the Diamondbacks repeated their prior performance with another single. And that was it with the game finishing 2-0 making it a successful but fairly boring game. 3 days later, the hot tip was for the Washington Nationals verses San Francisco Giants game on the 24th of July. It was also a boring game but a very suspense-filled game and here’s why. You see, the Washington Nationals were not the favorites to win and so, the bet was placed on the run line with a +1.5 spread meaning that they could still lose by a point and still win the bet. And that’s exactly what happened with the Giants taking the game 1-0, but the run line punters still winning the bet. The 1st 7 innings were scoreless with the 8th finally displaying a run… the only problem was that it was for the Giants which took the lead 1-0. Washington sadly was not able to reply with anything in the 9th. And so the game went down 1-0 however as mentioned, the run line still brought home the money on the bet, but only just by a whisker. Like I said, boring but suspenseful.
So ladies and gentlemen, there you have it. 4 wins in a row in this post with I think 11 or 12 in a row to this date since the last loss. Although Sports Betting Champ hit the 40 Wins milestone, they were soon brought back to earth with a disappointing 4-7 loss that the San Francisco Giants suffered from the whipping that the Milwaukee Brewers dealt out on the hot-tip game on the 20th of July. Two days later, the hot tip was for Kansas City to win against the Chicago White Sox and although they actually lost 6-7, since the bet was on the run line as recommended when betting on the underdogs, Kansas City still brought home the money for the Sports Betting Champ subscribers. This was an intense game and heart-breaking for the Kansas City fans so much more so since they dominated the 1st 3 innings with 5 runs on the scoreboard leaving the White Sox in their dust and unable to score even a single run. All that good work by the Marlins however was obliterated in the 3rd as the Dodgers scored 3 runs as a payback and the game was locked at 3-3. The Marlins marched on to win the lead back in the 4th leading 4-3. The 5th was scoreless and the Dodgers forced the tie again in the 6th with the game locking at 4-4. The next 3 innings were scoreless forcing a 10th inning which also went scoreless. Finally in the 11th, the Marlins broke the deadlock and also stopped the Dodgers from scoring again which resulted in the narrowest of wins in one of the seasons mosts exciting games. The next game on the same day was the Arizona Diamondbacks verses the Milwaukee Brewers. The game finished strong at 6-3 to the Diamondbacks although to start with, it looked like it was going to be a much closer game. The next 3 innings were scoreless but then in the 5th, the Diamondbacks scored 3 runs and snatched the lead 5-2. The Brewers managed to get another run in the 6th inching themselves back into contention however Arizona nudged forward again with another run in the 7th and that was that for the day . The next day was better with the LA Dodgers verses the Chicago Cubs game on June 6 with a comfortable 3-0 win for the Dodgers and the innings looking like this; 1-0, 0-0, 0-0, 1-0, 0-0, 1-0, 0-0, 0-0, x-0. On June 7, we were treated to an exciting game between the Florida Marlins and the Cincinnati Reds with Florida to win. The 1st 5 seasons looked great with a quick 4-0 lead and the innings looking; 0-0, 2-0, 0-0, 1-0, 1-0. The 6th inning was the equalizer for Cincinnati bringing in 4 quick runs and bringing the game to a 4-4 tie. Florida tried disparately to break away in the 7th with 1 run but then the Reds answered back with another 3 runs in the 8th and taking the lead for the 1st time with Florida trailing 5-7. The 9th inning started and the Reds were up 1st. They couldn’t convert a run but they were in a strong position leading by 2. The atmosphere was tense and incredibly exciting with Florida to bat. 3 runs is what they needed to win and sure enough, they came up with the goods and ended a spectacular game.
On June 10, both the LA Angels and the Houston Astros were victorious with their games. LA Angels easily won 6-1 against the Tampa Bay Rays with the tally going; 4-0, 0-0, 0-0, 0-0, 2-0, 0-0, 0-0, 0-1, x-0. The Houston Astros had an almost identical 6-1 win against the Milwaukee Brewers with the scoreboard displaying; 2-0, 0-0, 0-1, 0-0, 0-0, 0-0, 4-0, 0-0, x-0. Over a week later on June 19, the Cincinnati Reds were the pick to win against the LA Dodgers but sadly the game ended in defeat 4-7, however at the end of this period, Sports Betting Champ still managed to bring the winning tally to 26 games conceding the 2 losses highlighted in this post.
